JUBILEE PICNIC LUNCH - FRIDAY 27 MAY
On Friday 27th May we shall be celebrating as a school, the Queen’s Jubilee.
For this day we plan to have an outside picnic at lunchtime (weather permitting!), with tables and bunting for the whole school to join in together. If we do get rain, we shall move to the school hall for children and staff to eat inside.
The quickest way to order is by using this online link to a Google form. This form will close at 11pm on Tuesday 17th May.
Alternatively, please hand a note (with your child’s name, class and sandwich choice) to the class teacher or contact the office staff by email.
Thank you
SCHOOL MEAL CHARGES - PRICE RISE FROM MONDAY 4TH APRIL 2022
Message from our Local Authority, Nottinghamshire County Council School Catering:
From Monday 4th April 2022 there will be a 5p price increase in the cost of the school meal from £2.35 to £2.40 for paid meals. The last few years have seen significant increases in both meal ingredients and labour costs due to the rise in the living wage. The catering team focus on fresh and locally produced food to achieve the school food standards. The meal still represents excellent value for money for a nutritionally balanced two-course hot meal.
IMPORTANT
Our Local Authority, Nottinghamshire County Council School Catering, provides the school with the set menu for each term. Menus are written not only for nutritional benefit to the children but also with availability of ingredients in mind.
Unfortunately at the moment, due to unpredictable ingredient availability and supply chain/transport issues, while every effort is made to stick to the set menu, there may be times when the ingredient for a meal may not be available or delivered in time.
Our school cook, Mrs Shaw, acts on this as soon as she is made aware, either by rearranging menu days or replacing a meal. If she has sufficient notice herself, she will make every effort to inform parents/carers by email.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
