We have a new after-school club running from next Tuesday right up to the end of Autumn term in December and we would like to invite your child to join in. Nicola Gillaspy from The Creation Station will be visiting us this Autumn term to run this club.
Our Create Club art and craft sessions give children the opportunity to explore their creativity and express themselves through a structured programme, which also allows them the freedom to choose their own way of developing the theme.
This term we are going on a journey of discovery to explore ‘Inspired by me’. We will be exploring all the wonderful things about your child, what they are like and what they enjoy.
We will create their own personal superhero, consider where they may live in the future, create pet rocks and so much more. We will be helping them develop their imagination in a relaxed and creative environment. The children will create an awesome make to take home each week. All materials will be provided, including our painting coats, to protect their clothing.
Our approach will help your child;
· Explore new ideas, tools and materials.
· Discover how things work and try new ways of doing things, through practical hands-on fun activities.
We will be working closely with the school to support and put in place their Covid secure measures throughout Create Club.
This club is open to all children in years 1 to 6 and will take place every Tuesday, beginning Tuesday 22nd September, starting at 3:20pm and finishing at 4:20pm.
Health and safety
Your child(ren) will be collected from their class and brought to us or make their own way if instructed, in time for Nicola’s register. She will be setup in the hall of the school. As per the current COVID-19 health and safety procedures for Horsendale, children will sanitise before taking part. They will stick to their year group bubbles and sit as a group at their own table, spaced away from the other bubble groups. Any equipment they use of the club is cleaned before and after use and where applicable they may have their own equipment to use and keep.
You only need to arrange collection and we expect all children to be collected by an adult. Please tell us if another after-school provider will be collecting them when creating their profiles with us.
Please inform us before the class, by replying to our pre-class email if your child is unable to attend. If we haven't received notification of their absence and they don't arrive, we'll contact you via the numbers you gave upon registration.
Please visit the club at http://www.thecreationstation.co.uk/nicola-gillaspy to book.
Please visit the website for further information and to book. 11 weeks, £6 per session.
If you have registered your child as Pupil Premium (Free School Meals) with Nottinghamshire County Council, this club will be paid for by that fund. If you would like to book your child onto the club, you don’t need to pay online, instead please contact the team at Creation Station and they can liaise with the school.
We only have 20 spaces on this club, so it will be first come first serve on receipt of booking/payment.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
